With all the excitement, I just had to look for any game that they played. Luckily, someone did host a video file of their finals game against Croatia that featured a young Toni Kukoc and the late Drazen Petrovic. I probably will try to look for their other games and watch them all over again.

The whole tournament their coach, the late Chuck Daly never called time out. It was testament to how powerful this team was. Even though Croatia did manage to lead by a few points, team USA stormed ahead after Barkley went in. I just wondered why they had to put in a college player instead of having Shaquille O’neal or Hakeem Olajuwon.

The Dream Team will forever be the best team in basketball.

And the fact that the ring is tough and won’t budge when the ball hits it did not help at all. Second, I barely lasted 10 minutes in the 3 on 3 game that we had awhile ago. I simply ran out of breath. I probably need some jogging so I could play on and on for long stretches rather than wanting to be substituted because I just could not go on.

Maybe the following weeks will help since my officemates have agreed that we will play on Tuesdays. It’s a start. After all, it’s been what? Like 5 years I think since I really last played a game? That is a pretty long time.

But there is nothing more the Cavs can do but try and regroup and hope to fix up the roster to produce a good team. But one thing is certain, attendance will surely dip without Lebron.

Now, will the new trio make the Miami Heat instant contender? Absolutely! Win the title? No way! It still will be Lakers he he he. I may be biased but to see is to believe and I will wait and see if the Heat are indeed a good team. They still have to content with the Celtics ala Old Big 3 VS Young Big 3. But I believe it still will be Lakers.

While I am not into soccer, I think I will for a change be part of this one this time. And it is all because of the octopus ha ha! I pick Netherlands in the finals. So who’s with me? Figures to be an exciting match that’s for sure since it is the finals after all. Get those vuvuzelas ready!

Paul has been wrong before, though. In the European Championships in 2008, he had an 80 percent record, getting only one match wrong. Confirming his reputation as a prognosticator par-excellence, he kept up his astonishing run of form by tipping Germany to beat highly fancied Argentina in the quarter-finals which is pretty impressive.

While it is absurd that an octopus can be psychic, the number of times it predicted the winner is simply astonishing .

This ought to be an exciting series. As I said before, I am a Lakers fan no matter who plays on that team. This will be good payback for the Lakers as any basketball fan knows that the defeat 2 years ago in the finals against the Celtics is still fresh in the Lakers minds.

They already defeated the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference finals. That is payback number 1. And now come the Boston Celtics, the intended payback number 2. And a good thing that Lakers hold homecourt advantage.

Forget about the Celtics winning on the road against the Cavaliers and the Magic. The finals is a whole different ballgame. I just hope Andrew Bynum will have healthy legs and be able to play through the series. Else, the Celtics are going to win it again against a team not at full strength. Kind of like a question mark right? Their championship back in 2008 he he he.

And a good thing too since the Lakers will hold homecourt advantage in the finals. If it were the Orlando Magic or the Cleveland Cavaliers who would have represented the East, the Lakers will start the finals on the road. So who are you guys picking?

I am all for the Lakers and it is not because of Kobe (you Kobe haters ). I root for the Lakers no matter who plays in that team. I have been a fan ever since Magic Johnson’s days. So good luck to the Lakers and I hope they will win the finals and catch up to the Boston Celtics’ record number of 18 championship trophies.

They are not that far off behind.

I really had a great time that my views on boxing really have changed. It is very fun to watch it live compared to television even more so when you are with your friends. Too bad the fight between Michael Domingo and Luis Melendez ended in just 2 rounds. I was not able to shoot photos of the other round girls. Even the one who did make a pass before the start of round 2 did not pose that long in front of me. My place was not the right one to take photos of her.

Oh well, maybe next time. I had fun, really. And there were many other celebrity boxers present too like Z “The Dream” Gorres so it was a shoot-filled fest.
