I watched Meet Dave last night with my wife. Before the movie started, I was kind of apprehensive at first
because lately, Eddie Murphy’s live action movies were for me, overacting. His portrayal on cartoon characters is better like Jim Carrey. However, comes the live action scenes, I feel that he’s overdoing his stuff to make people laugh. How he handled his character in Mulan and Shrek were superb. In this movie, even though he was still overdoing it, it was ok for me since his character is that of a robot being piloted by a micro version of him. The movie does have its fair share of laughs and comedic scenes. Since the aliens’ ship is… Continue reading

Who Da Man?! Finally, the dvdrip-version r5release came out. The movie’s alright, but the only drawback I saw in this movie was that the people who made this think us viewers are stupid. So the movie is about the golden army. Once you wear this special crown, the golden army is at your disposal which would make you invincible, as later finding out in the last part of the movie where the smoke guy possessed one of the drones and thrashing everything only to find out that they can never be destroyed. Then during the last part, you’d get shown that the girl with flames burns the crown and melts it. I mean, what the … why… Continue reading

My wife and I watched Hancock after Wanted and we were both looking forward to this one since we’ve heard
from a lot of our friends that this movie was good. I think that most, if not all movies of Will Smith had raked in big bucks no matter what kind of movie genre he’s in and this was no exception. I thought that this was another good bad superhero villain type of movie but I was wrong. Another unique story for a superhero type of movie. There are heroes. There are superheroes. And then there’s… Hancock, a superhero who’s one of two of the last of their kind (which will be revealed on the last part… Continue reading

Ever since I got married, I got pretty busy managing stuffs and organizing things that we needed to do. Hence, my wife and I never had much of any chance to watch a movie in our laptop. We don’t watch movies in cinemas anymore as they’re outrageously expensive. Even if moviehouses have bigger screens, my MacBook will do. I get to save almost a thousand bucks for every movie watched. First movie we watched was Wanted. At first, during the early part of the movie, I was like … #$^?! Assassins shooting guns and the bullets do not move in a linear motion while even jumping from one building to the next??? I thought to myself, was… Continue reading

I must be losing my head for watching all kid movies in one day. I just watched Nim’s Island and I thought
it would be another sci-fantasy movie with powers and magic. Turned out to be just an ordinary story of a girl and her dad inhabiting an island and calling it their own all the while when the dad had to go back to the real world for something, got stranded mid-sea because of bad weather and the girl had to defend the island against a group of people who planned on making the island somewhat of a resort. Again, this is a kids movie, obviously kids would love it especially if people and animals… Continue reading

Now that the tv-series seasons are over, there’s nothing much for me to watch except try and catch up on previous movies that got shown which I hadn’t had the chance to watch in the moviehouse. Even cartoon series have nothing good to offer me. Avatar’s totally cancelled and I miss Justice League. One of the movies
I watched now was Spiderwick Chronicles. I’ve always wanted to watch this ever since this came out. Pretty obvious this is a sorta fantasy adventure type of movie. Better than drama. The main character of the movie is one young boy who also has a twin brother. They start off merely annoying, shouting and quarreling. And the main character… Continue reading
