Pacifim Rim (2013)
I have to admit, this movie turned out to be good. I did not expect it to be that good until I finished watching it. That Elysium trailer was boring itself I thought it would be somehow the same way with Pacific Rim.
There was a little part there that put my wife to sleep. Dialogue can make it boring especially if people expect to watch an action movie filled with robots. Still, the fight scenes were awesome!
As a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot whose brother was killed by a low level monster, and a trainee whose family was also killed are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.
Now, I got to finally see some real monster vs man fight scenes although mankind used robots to fight them. There were very interesting monsters that came out of the portal, the best one being that all around monster was able to swim underwater, fight on land and fly.
Heck, they even evolved to the point of adapting how they fought and had some offensive weapons of their own. By far this was the best mankind versus monster movie ever! If those monsters still moved like Ultraman’s enemies, oh boy, this movie would have been a disaster!
Seeing having robots of their own for some countries was neat. It was not a long fight though since they were only shown during the last part of the movie and their enemies just got stronger. Ironic that an old model Jaeger robot did the job.
So I am very thankful that in my lifetime, I watched a very good movie like Pacific Rim. Part 2 perhaps? I am sure people will look forward to it if it will happen!Donations appreciated. Every little $ helps. Or click Google +1
