Max Payne

This movie stars Mark Wahlberg as a detective who gets entangled in a conspiracy that ironically is linked to
his wife’s death. Before I started watching this, I thought this was some sort of sci-fi movie because I had heard about the word Max Payne before in some video game I think. During the course of the movie, I was a bit hooked while watching it because there seems to be 3d-generated so called black winged people called valkyries and I thought this was some sort of a supernatural movie. Turned out those valkyries were hallucinations caused by a drugs produced by Aesir Pharmaceuticals.
The movie is decent but it was not what I expected. The action scenes are quite ok although there was one scene where Wahlberg got hit when he went to a certain building to look for the person who he said was responsible for killing his wife. There was not any pain shown after he was hit which was pretty non-realistic. Did they even remember that he was hit. The bad guy turned out to be Sucre of the Prison Break tv-series. His role was pretty limited though. You find out later on in the movie that he was not the real main bad guy so I was surprised when their fight ended so quick. Sucre’s a good actor, and Wahlberg’s role was good. I just expected that Max Payne is some sort of sci-fi supernatural kind of movie. Turns out to be just an action flick.
